Moth-Woman Luke Eidenschink Used with Permission Luke Ink Art |
Transformation
She is nectar, honeysuckle, and balm,
a night fairy drawn toward light
carefully treads forest path,
hips swaying, skin aglow;
he a moth to the flame, hypnotized
as desire beckons beneath Wolf Moon
awaiting his howl.

The metaphors you've chosen are sweet, soothing, and ideal for the image. The idea of the night fairy is intriguing and titillating. The reader is drawn in and compelled to breathe the crisp night air of the wolf moon.
A lovely Ekphrastic verse. It's great to recognize your metaphors and images from the inspired piece. Such is the nature of desire that burning is all but imminent. :-)
Yes, I actually howled after reading your last line. How can I not? After seeing her glory and his and the fiery ending, anything alive must make speak to the moon.
Yum.
