Haibun - Enchanted

I pull my jacket tightly about hunched shoulders, hunker into woolen scarf, await for sprinkles of snow to descend as I gaze out from within, pole lights shining like stars, the inky blackness a comforting scrim.  This enchanted world offers up a princess and white horse gracefully floating before me, triumphant banners of breath-like clouds and pony-tails trail behind them.  Not a sound but for the gentle rhythm of the horse's three-beat gait and gentle snorts as in unison they circle about the edge of this snow-globe night, damsel and steed seemingly about to sprout wings, fly up and away to the land of the gods...

To be blanketed
with snow crystals: magical
to fly above: joy

This is for "dVerse Haibun Monday - And to all a goodnight"  My Haiku is not good (they are not easy) and I might come back and give it some more thought.   For now, it is what it is :)

This is beautiful. You took me right in to that moment of the "snow-globe night". Sigh. Lovely to share it with a beautiful horse. The horses here are loving the snow, they roll about it in it with glee.

You make horse-riding sound magical.

You poetry is so musical. You describe the scene in such a way that I feel like I'm there.

I have never thought of how magic it can be to ride at night... how much it turns into a dream of having a winged horse...

magic.

Nice magical dream or dream perspective on what is really out there.

What is a good dream without a magic winged horse!! Enchanting indeed.

You set out a beautiful scenery that really did seem like it might have been a view within a snow globe. Gently falling snow can have that effect...it beautifies and makes things appear magical!

Instantly thought of a carousel when reading this one - could almost hear faint music and feel a gentle snowfall - very evocative!

There is that grand moment to extend one's good intentions to everyone as approved by the Good Lord, God the AlMighty!
