Watery Wednesday #170 - "Marooned?"
I drove by this tiny "island" in the early morning and agonized because I couldn't stop. Fortunately the fog lasted a bit and on the way home I captured this gaggle of geese. I have linked up with "Watery Wednesday #170".
Very good photos. I am glad that the geese took pity on you and posed in perfect order.
I also loved your previous post. Such an excellent, atmospheric and picturesque place. I'd love to wander and explore.
I have to say that I did the Magpie prompt with a few misgivings. A naked woman, tied up and presented on a bed of something. I felt just a touch uncomfortable.
It took a few regrets, but I am learning...never leave home without a camera! This is a perfect example why! Nature's simplicity in breath-taking form!
Wonderful. I especially love the last one too. The composition, and the subtle effects of the water and trees, with the geese so vivid, are really pleasing! And I love brown. :-)
I love the word gaggle...when I was still tacking 6th grade English the kids would get the biggest kick out of it. Your geese shots are beautiful. Glad you were able to get back by to catch them. Love the haze and fog. genie
Thank you all. Usually a blue heron or some big white bird sits here... and yes, I want to get them too, some day. It was funny, seeing them all preening on this little spot of land.

The geese could be seen to look a touch confused - "what do we do now"

What absolutely beautiful nature captures. So filled with mood and nice contrasts.

I love the second one! mostly for the wings and to the left a solitary swimmer... I like the 3rd for its
soft, almost snow flakes.
these are just gorgeous! i guess it worked out that you couldn't stop till later!
Wonderful! These pictures inspire me to a new painting. I give you permission to paint from these pictures?
Thank you, all.
Tanya - The image a couple hours earlier was truly a misty silhouette .. one I till think about and agonize over missing!
Viviane - NOTHING would please me more! I just beg to let me know when it is finished so I can hi-light it here. :)
These are great photos! The island makes for a wonderful composition and you took full advantage. The mood is great too.
