The 4th Annual Willow Manor Ball 2011

Willow Manor Ball 2011
This IS the cyber event of the year.  Click HERE to visit and meet the hostess, Tess Kincaid of Willow Manor.   This is 24 hours of dancing, visiting, and enjoying oneself while surrounded by the most wonderful people imaginable.  As my date opens the beautiful doors of Willow Manor for me to enter, I almost bump into Lucille Ball.  She welcomes me as if we were sisters and I feel all warm and fuzzy inside.  She then plants quite a kiss upon my handsome date... I guess they are old friends...  I take off my sable floor length mink and none other than Anthony Hopkins gives me a low whistle... who would of thought! Oh, yes.   If this is the way it is starting, it's gonna be one hell of a night.

What am I wearing you ask?  Well, let me show you!

These are my Kick Ass Shoes.  (Oh, yes, those are the right words :)

A touch of whimsy and that necessary splash of red!

And the bling

And sexy, eye covering curls

and the dress that shows off my cyber figure to perfection.

My inspiration for my look was non other than Carole Lombard

Below is a YouTube "private home video" of these two "at play"

And my date?  Well, I decided not to mess with perfection, so I have borrowed her man for the night.

And for all those ladies who have aching feet, Gable will offer up his services:

He may not always be the sweetest talker, but if you are lucky he might ask you to dance by saying

"Yes, What are you waiting for.  C'mon."

Now, he might not be quite the dancer that my date was last year (Patrick Swayze) but how fun will it be to have Gable leaning against the bar and giving each  beautiful lady a mischievously dimpled smile and a wink from his baby blues?

I suggest the ladies ask for a slower dance.  That way, the famous "swoon" will be possible!

I'm swooning over those shoes, just wish I could work a pair of pumps like that!

Wow, perfect date! There will be much swooning from the rest of us jealous ladies! And love that handbag! Gorgeous!

Glad you picked the silver, you'll be a knockout. And Clark Gable is fab (but he reminds me too much of my father-in-law to swoon from :-). See you there!

My goodness what a dress! What a figure! And may I please 'borrow' Mr. Gable for just one dance?

My head is still dizzy from all the dancing with your date! He was so polite and charming unlike my date who crudely pulled me away. You looked stunning, the dress, the hair, classy and icy!

well, that silver number was my 2nd choice for you. :)

Mah-velous dress! I could not do the pinched toes or curls- but truly
enjoy your plans! thanks.

Look at you! Devine!

I hope you didn't mind me borrowing Clark for a few minutes. We had business to discuss.

As it turned out, the silver gown was the perfect choice! Wherever did you find that red bag? I simply MUST have one. To go with MY kick ass shoes of course!

I have always wanted to take a turn around the dance floor with Carole Lombard. If you would grant this native North Carolinian the honor of a dance, my lady, I shall likely forget about Ms. Lombard.

I especially loved the red bag, the kick ass shoes and your dream date.

Oh you Minx! You caught Clark massaging my feet! (And we tried to be so discreet....) But, he is a Southern Gentlemen..and could recognise a *Damsel in Distress*!

It was so much fun meeting you at the Cocktail Bar....loved the dress, the bag, the shoes...(I know your feet were aching too....but, we looked great!)

I see you are a horse-lover....me too! And Frisians are one of my favourites.... great sketch!

Hugs to you - looking forward to meeting again next year...in the meantime, I intend to read your blogs!

Ooh, Clark Gable. I hope you don't mind if I steal him for a dance. I love those shoes!

ooh, thanks for filling my glass. I'll have to admit, blushing, that I failed to avert my eyes as you bent to pour. Ooh la la!

Kerry - you can! A virtual cyber ball we can do ANYTHING we want.

Cheri - I brought Gable along to share with all the ladies :)

Ruth - Your father looks like Gable! Wow - did your husband pick up any of these traits... he is a tall man if I remember!

Jacqueline - Borrow away.. I will just be off to catch me another man ... I think I see Travolta across the room.

Yoli, Yes, Gable knows how to win a woman. Bourdain does drop the "F-bomb" a bit... but he is good to look at.

TexWisGirl - Oh the choices of choosing the dress. I LOVED the yellow one - but this was night for showing off my figure! ;)

Izzy & Isabel - Believe me, my own family did not recognize me as I waltzed out the door. But a girl could get used to this.

Martin - Your forgiven... I had my eye on the Paul McCartney anyway.

Helen - As soon as I saw the bag, it was love at first sight. And now I can't find it on the web... tragic.

Linthead - Flattery will get you ... everywhere. Yes, I will be thrilled to be your Carole Lombard stand in!

Shari & Paula - Well, Kick Ass shoes and accessories are very important. Glad you like mine.

Dr, FTSE - step away. Cyber dancing is wonderful that way!

Robin - I am such a horse lover it was hard for me to pull my self away from my new half Friesian gelding... but I managed. And I brought Clark Gable along for us all - he insists there is enough of him to go around the full 24 hours. Now there's a man! :)

Thingy - Steal away. There are plenty of men to go around!

Tom - Do you really think woman don't KNOW when such things happen? Why DO you think we wear the dress in the first place ;P

Those Christian Louboutin's are divine and the perfect accent for your dress. You and Ruth win the prize for most hour-glassy. I can't tell you how grateful I am that you shared your date with the ladies because Hubert is a bit too bashful to massage a lady's feet in public. Clark did take me for a spin on the dance floor. You are right, a slow dance suits him better than a silly tap routine. I'm still swooning from "the swoon". What charisma he has!

Perfect from top to bottom, and the date's perfect, too!

Your dress is beautiful and the shoes are perfect with it. Your red evening bag is a wonderful accent. Looking forward to seeing you at the ball.

Margaret,
You look divine.

Misha is Mikael Barishnikov, THE ballet dancer. Hope you enjoy him!

if only I'd known, I'd have cancelled my night in with a hot water bottle.

Your handbag was just too adorable! Thanks for making the Willow Manor Ball 2011 so enjoyable!

You're the 3rd Ball attendee I've visited between yesterday and today, Margaret. I've all but decided I MUST accept the invitation for next year. I have a year to figure it all out, right? :) I LOVE this.
