The "Fabio" of Biltmore Estates

These are a few of the photos I took while walking Biltmore Estates.  This post today features the Belgian horses.  The fellow above I call "Fabio".  I also submitted the first photo to "Creative Exchange", but I had a hard time selecting my favorite.

If anyone sees a photo they would like to draw or paint (or write a poem about) please just ask.  I love when my photos are used as references for art.

The last black & white photo is for "Black & White Wednesday".  It isn't perfectly in focus, but I think it is still very dramatic.

He sure is a looker,Margaret. Hey, does the one on the right have a braid in her tail?

Texwisgirl - They are so gentle, too. I road a percheron/quarter horse mix and he trot felt like I was rocking in a Lazy Boy chair.

Carol - Yes, a braid. Probably helps keep it from getting tangled up. The ponies we are leasing have thick manes. We french braid them so their necks don't get so hot.

Every one of these is gorgeous Margaret! What a truly stunning horse. I think the first one is my favorite, although like you, I really find it hard to choose.

Thank you so much for sharing these today at The Creative Exchange.

Have a wonderful day!

Isn't the Biltmore Estate amazing!!! My family and I went there last year. There are so many photo opportunities at that place. I think I took about 200 pictures. :D

Hubby and I are going to Biltmore at the end of June. Been there once but it's been over 17 years. Can't wait to go again.

Wonderful shot of these Belgians! We live near an Amish community and often see farmers working with their teams of Belgians. Magnificent horses!
