This is a photo taken at Magnolia Plantation, Charleston, SC. The haiku below is part of a monthly challenge. Click HERE to see other entries. Todays challenge is the word "anger". I don't think these creatures feel anger, just respond to instinct. But it is the closest I could come to the prompt.
Calm, still. Poised to strike.
Outward manner deceiving.
Dangerous anger.

Here's another photo and shows you why I love to visit Charleston. These are my submissions for Patterns & Repetitions in February. Nature does a wonderful job decorating, doesn't she?
And the next photo is more Mother Nature's "magic". It is close up of tree bark and my submissions for Macro Monday. Do you see the bunny rabbit? I'm also entering this in The Creative Exchange. I might even try and write a fable about this photo...

well done,
Margaret - Each of these is wonderful, but that last one is truly phenomenal!! Really, really gorgeous.
Thank you so much for sharing it this week at The Creative Exchange.
Have a wonderful evening!
lisa.
Love the photography and the Haiku. You always do such a nice job!
Cool shots!
Very nice set of photos! I love the texture of the tree bark.
that crocodile looks scary! I love your wisteria shot, soon my wisteria will be out!
I love the first shot, that is so amazing. We have too cold conditions for that.So lovely
That wisteria is just heavenly! ...And I like the alligator, even if he is eyeballing me! :D
I'm trying to work out when you sleep with your six kids, husband, multiple blogs, and who-knows-what-else.
Wonderful submissions for all these prompts. I love the wisteria blossoms. Yes, I see the bunny. Apt for the Year of the Rabbit. Looking forward to reading the fable.
of course they are dangerous anger.. Loved your take..
Someone is Special
I thank all of you for visiting here and commenting! I appreciate it a lot.
Justine - I think it is alligators that we have here, but I could be wrong.
Wisteria - I knew it wasn't lilacs... thanks for telling me (and Angelcel)
Dutchbaby - 2 hours a day for poetry and art - and I keep NOT getting to my painting... I will have to establish "painting only" days, I think. And I really think that awesome bunny deserves SOMETHING all his own... Thank you.
I was stumped by the Creative Exchange thumbnail on what this could be. Now I see it and think it's fabulous! It almost looks like a shot from space looking back at the weather on earth. Very unique.
I am in love with that macro...the details are incredible!!!
OMGoodness, the 2nd & 3rd pics are GORGEOUS! I'd love love love to have them growing around my house, but I'm afraid I don't have a green thumb!
Wonderful captures! =)
LisaF & Tchesney - Thank you. I am fascinated by "contemporary" shots of nature. I would love to collect a wide variety and eventually frame them.
Tricia - Thank you. Charleston, South Carolina is a photographers dream - you would LOVE it!
I love the wisteria, Margaret. We'd see a bit of it in Atlanta every spring, but I know the Charleston area is most known for it. One day I'd like to spend a week there!
A week would be lovely. There is a nearby beach - Isle of Palms. I can just imagine you and your camera! I hope to get down there over Spring break.
