Of a Winter Past, 69 & 70/365

This home with the comfortable front porch is one of many charming residences in Petoskey, MI.  I miss the old victorian architecture, the neighborhood coziness, the charming life of a small town.  And from afar, the beauty of winter.  These two photos, even though from my archive, are my 69 & 70 of 365 (365 Day Project).  I may be without my computer for a day or two and I thought these two photos should follow the post below.

Justine, the door below (the house above) was not my house when we lived in Petoskey, MI. I so long for a porch and I still don't have one here in the south. Thought for SURE I would when we moved, but they aren't as plentiful (even here) as I had thought.

Love the photo of the swing, Margaret. You've given me an idea for a painting. Oh boy!

Oh, I love the picture of the house, I wish I could live in one like it. I love the swing in the snow. It reminds me of my own back yard. Only much more beautiful.

Picture-card perfect, Margaret. Now if only your kids were sitting in that swing, even with their backs on the year, THAT would make a great Christmas card!

Carol, Linda, Goddess, Patty Ann, & Ginnie, I agree - the swing and setting is amazing. Can you believe I have walked by this house many a time, all four seasons, and never once a person have I spied on it! There is something very poignant to me about this swing...
