"The Journey"

The Song Writer
The Journey

The lyrics don't yet exist
as melody and harmony
have yet to tryst

a sip of beer, of burgundy,
a cafe vibe;
inspiration's urgency

awakens the inner scribe
and a word, a chord
begins to describe

a poet's horde
of passion and pain
stored

within, explored,
often with tears, adored.

I love my poetic group "Imaginary Garden with Real Toads".  I am always challenged and I can't say my efforts are equally good, but it IS the exercise of stretching poetic muscles that inspires me.   This is for "Fussy Little Forms - Terza Rima"  When it comes to rhyme and "form" I tend to think my poetry gets a little cheesy.  But this was fun - anyone can join the fun ... Click on the link and give it a try :)

This was fun read, the creation and evolution of a writing. Reminds me of our granddaughter, in the third grade, learning the elements of a fairy tale and putting the work to paper. I hope I get to read her production. She has the imagination, she and a few others are working on a production of "Little Red Riding Hood" to present to the first graders during a recess. Her big sister is a theatre major at Georgetown and weve seen one of her productions, she's seen two.

Got carried away there, but sometimes a poem or other writing does that to me. But I felt that I feel I should make sure you know about my picture. I put this on my FB:
"This picture was taken in a museum in the cellar of the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte mansion (southeast of Paris about 61km). Imprisonment for Money, Powerm, and Politics."

I love the way you worked this form, Margaret The rhythm is light and the rhymes sing along so naturally. This is an amazing poem.
