IGWRT's "Extraordinary"

The video is a real place, called the "Tunnel of Love" and is located in Kleven, Ukraine!

Extraordinary

It's an ordinary wish
to be loved
intensely

as if tomorrow wouldn't exist
without a touch, a smile,
a glance,

for his world
to arch over my days
protecting, cherishing, sharing

as our limbs, laughter,
thoughts entwine
like two old oaks

whose once sapling branches
have interlaced, become
dependent upon the other

for life itself.
It's extraordinary
my wish came true.

This is linked with Imaginary Garden with Real Toad's "Transforming Friday's with Hannah - Magical Natural Locations - Hungry Eyes,  haunted hearts"  Wow - that is quite a title, but Hannah promises us 21 more incredible places over the next few months and I can't wait!

This poem stole my breath. Stunning, esp. the last two stanzas, as is the video!

MMMM. Each of your images is restrained to a richness that makes that ordinary wish an extraordinary find.

But the young hearts remain forever young despite the interlacing branches. Nicely Marge!

It is an ordinary wish to be loved intensely, so very human. And exquisite when we find it reflected in our beloved. I am so happy that you found a love that is enduring, sheltering, perfect.

How wonderful it must be when two young hearts entwine unto eternity.
A beautiful write, Margaret. I enjoyed it very much.

How clever to see the tunnel itself as the protective arms of the lover. A life-long relationship of love is something to treasure.

I'd just love to see the world through your eyes, Margaret!!

What a truly extraordinary vision you've given this tunnel of love...wow.

I love the entwining of the sapling limbs the dependency that grows as they grow...so passionately beautiful.

Thank you so much for writing!

I especially love "for his world to arch over my days, protecting, cherishing, sharing" - that is real love, beautifully expressed.
