IGWRT's - Artistic Interpretations "Cross Roads"

Cross Roads

Punctured, I bleed gray
a life of indifference
finds me alone, empty,

and I wonder,

is it too late to begin again,
color my world passionate,
take action, make a difference,

or will I simply remain
voiceless?

by Margaret Bednar, April 12, 2013

My third (and last) poem for today's challenge (which I'm hosting) for Imaginary Garden with Real Toad's - Artistic Interpretations.  My daughter's abstract art is featured.  Please hop on over and see the possibilities and give it a try.

I feel the stepping stones rising from this part of your poems! Yes!

I agree with Karen. And I think both of your poems are two parts of one whole. Questions are excellent--maybe the best--stepping stones for the spirit.

This is beautiful. You've done an incredible series with these, Margaret.

nice...never too late, until it is you know...or we give up...paint it vivid for sure...

Brian is right, never too late. I thought at first you might have been going with a punctured lung poem ... too many years married to a doc.

beautiful in a gray world..never say too late.

I wrote in response to this one too. I like what you did with it! I think you succeeded in not just trying to describe what you "see."

Even if you did nothing, Margaret, you would not remain voiceless....because you absolutely gave voice to what has been deep inside me the last months. This is a remarkable work (and your daughter's art is powerful too).

Wow - this is perfect for the image. And a good question for many.

Chelsea's work is so powerful, invoking a wide range of responses even in someone who knows her well.
I agree, you will never be voiceless.

The first and the third one are very dynamic and of the two the first one resonates with passion waiting to be ignited, loved it.

The third one a bit Emo but then shrug the world needs its grays too or it wouldn't have them.

Nicely done Margret--glad to meet a you by the by.

Your daughters are is that chalk on black paper? Nicely done as well a lot of imagery jumps out of the shadows.

At the center of which way...we all have been there. I sense the voice will break free!
