Petoskey - Photograph #1

I am very busy until the end of August getting children ready for elementary, middle, high school and college!  We have a couple more mini trips to enjoy as well.  The next couple of weeks I would like to share a few photos of our trip to Petoskey and Bay View Michigan.   My hope is to paint these once the kids are back in school.

I was there two week-ends ago on a Sunday.
I was looking for NC. license plates and you!!
Have you ever eaten at The Legg Inn in Cross Village?

LOL... I flew in on the SUNDAY when Chicago had record breaking rain and we missed our connecting flight... I think my kids learned a few new swear words that day... Leggs Inn has the BEST polish food EVER! Yes, I'm very familiar with the drive and the restaurant. I'm sure you enjoyed it.

Sounds like you are having the very best of summers! We'll connect more in September.

Margaret, if you'd ever like to paint one of my photographs, you'd be more than welcome to do so.

(I even had somebody do a painting inspired my a poem of mine, which was really neat!)

Besides my photography blog here, I also have a DeviantArt gallery listed under "BuddhaRocks" (There's a link on my main blog's front page)

All I ask is that you post a picture of it so I can see it when you're done. :)

One of the most beautiful spots on earth. I've envied you there.

We ate at the Legg Inn in Cross Village when we did the 51-mile bike ride (the Zoo-de-mac), and it was just fantastic. I have never had such delicious whitefish before, and it was a sandwich.

Good luck with all your preparations for back-to-school. Must be exciting days for Will!

Yes, great summer and it is flying by. Thanks Eric for the offer. I just need to find the time to paint something. G-Man, the tunnel of trees is wonderful - bike riders are crazy to traverse it in my opinion, but a motorcycle would be awesome... is that how you went? Ruth, I envy anyone, now, who can spend more than a week or two there myself these days. It is truly hard to acclimate back to my daily routine here in NC...
