Haiku - "Unexpected Beauty", 117/-119/365

Unornamented
Such unexpected beauty!
Winter's wallflower

The more I walk up and down this trail, the more I am enjoying the simple beauty that is before me.  Today it was 50 degrees and there was a very earthy smell.  These are from three different days and the top two were taken during sunset and the one below is 9:30 am.   I know the winds are blowing and the snow is piling up in the northern states but these are much more typical of what winter days should be for central North Carolina.  The top photo is for "Weekend Reflections".

wow these are beautiful, the tones in the first two shots and the reflection in the last shot are breathtaking.

It looks like you took a can of gold spray paint and covered the whole earth, then the same in silver.
Beautiful.

These are beautiful Margaret!
Isn't it amazing how you can walk the same path time after time, and always find something new. I think photography "does that" to people, and is one of my favorite things about it.
I love how different the tones are in each of these.
Have a wonderful day.

Gorgeous gold.

LOVE the bridge!

I enjoy both the kind of uncluttered reflection in the first one and I enjoy bridges, but if I had to choose - the first one for its simplicity.

Your winter pictures remind me a lot of the winter's that I grew-up with - relatively mild with crisp mornings and nights (occasionally a frost). I really enjoyed reading your Haiku's as well - I tried to write some once and found it a lot harder than I initially thought that it would be.

Thank you ALL for enjoying the golden and silver beauty of the "winter" photos. I took quite a few this past week that I will be posting and although I love the colors of the other seasons, I have a new found appreciation of winter. And blogging has done that with all the photo challenges "teaching" me how to look at things with new eyes...

Thank you Tsuki. I'm still smiling with the image of your white cat walking outside with you on a leash!

Love, love the first photo in this grouping - looks like something Rothko would do.

J Bar & Bonnie - Thank you !! I remember just standing at the edge of the bank mesmerized by the golden hues just before sunset. It had been so dull all day and then for about 30 minutes everything was golden.
