"It's Snowing", 72/365

This was not a boring day today for photos.  My 3 year old exclaimed "It's snowing outside!" and we all rushed out the door to enjoy this rare treat.  Here in North Carolina there are many who have never even made a snowman.  My girls will be going out later and showing the kids in the neighborhood how it is done.  Below are two of my girls triumphantly greeting this weather -  I entered this photo in the "In The Moment Challenge" for December.  This month's word is "Triumphant".

I will be posting more photos the next few days of my walk today.

I tried to send a comment earlier, but it apparently didn't make it. I must have missed the word verification procedure. In any event, I wanted you to know that I like these photos, especially the second with the bright jackets of your daughters contrasted against the gray background.

Love it. My girls feel the same way about snow and never lived in it until the past four years. They get kind of tired of it toward the end of winter though. The cold gets hard to bear when you want it to be spring so badly!

I love the second shot, the splash of colour with the snow, looks great, wonderful.

Thank you all for the kind comments regarding the snow scene. Such a gray day. It was fun bring outside with the camera but I was fearful of it getting wet. My younger daughter's attire makes me laugh...her favorite summer dress that she insists on still wearing ...

What a wonderful moment with your daughters - You MUST frame that one! I'd be right out there with them but I'd probably be hugging the guard rail! My sister lives in Waynesville - how I wish I could pop-up for a visit!

That last image would win a prize somewhere, Margaret!

Beckielboo, it was a lot of fun and the snow is pretty much gone now. I'm glad we took time off Saturday morning to enjoy it.

Ginnie - When my oldest daughter came walking towards me in that orange wool jacket I just KNEW I had to get a photo of it! I love their jumping = they like to do this jumping into the pool, too! :)

What a glorious photo! If you give me permission I'd love to attempt a poem about it!
