"The Rocking Chair"

The Rocking Chair

Tonight's lavender sky and golden hues
of speckled, dancing light have lured me -

find me comforted within curved back
and double scooped seat

as wooden floorboards hypnotize,
rhythmically soothe -

and I, wrapped within knitted afghan,
cradled in memories and fanciful thoughts,

sigh.   I could sit here forever.

What crazy dreamlike colors! I love fanciful thoughts and dreaming in color.

Wrapped up in womb-like comfort in the arms of your rocker. A beautiful way to spend an august evening. Always happy to see you, Margaret.

Oh this is wonderful - a moment to wish for, but maybe one we pass if we don't grab it...

Me too, a rocker on a porch brings back good memories. The rocker picture is stunning! Is it yours?

Sigh. Me, too.

I took the photo and used an app. It is not my porch or specific rocking chair - it's the view from my beauty salon on the mountains - but I do have a nice porch and comfy chair and cool mountain evening fresh air!

I know the feeling, and I could get all wrapped up in it.

Pleasant memories can certainly be a good elixir to be just rocking away thinking about them! Rightly so Marge!
