"Cleansing"

Cleansing

It's captured in a sigh
this first blush of day -

nursling of eve's brooding sky
and midnight rain,

where tired dreams
and tiny thoughts

evaporate
with mountain mist -

become buoyant
beyond my window;

wish (or two) refreshed
with a swish of mares' tails.

This is linked with "Imaginary Garden with Real Toads - Music with Marian - Little Tiny".  Our inspiration the above song.  I hope you enjoy the above song by Brandi Ediss.  She is also a photographer HERE

Note:  Mares' tails are wispy, ethereal clouds with a classic trailing shape

Lovely lines:
'where tired dreams
and tiny thoughts

evaporate
with mountain mist'!

This is a breath of loveliness, Margaret - from "nursling of eve's brooding sky" to the mare's tails swishing at its end, a poem of both sunlit dawn and evening rain. A beautiful one. Thanks for sharing.

This is so beautiful, Margaret. I can feel that tiny sigh.

I'm glad you put that sigh in your first sentence, because it was breathtaking in her song

I like the way you took the mood of this song and lifted it up with the swish of the mare's tail. Lovely.

This is very pretty. You took a neat direction with the prompt. It feels like it can be a metaphor for starting things afresh after seeing that the only barriers were the ones you created in your mind.

I do love how you turned that melancholy into a fresh start... the mare's tail, what a wonderful sound to close with.
