Yesterday and Tomorrow are for dreams,
for regrets - untouchable.

Today I can surrender insecurities,
grasp life, ride its rainbow,
worry not if my road isn't paved
with golden bricks.  Brave one foot
in front of the other, listen to my heartbeat,
make a difference whether big or small

before time runs out.  It's the only path I know
leads to a happy ending.

This is for "Imaginary Garden with Real Toads - Bits of Inspiration - The Yellow Brick Road".

I have a dear friend who has always inspired me - Toril, who is co-owner of Second Cloud on the Left Farm - also has a blog HERE and can be found on Facebook.   She took the above photo from her beloved farm nestled in the hills of Wisconsin.

Also, thank you, Laurie Kolp, for inspiring me with the Dalai Lama's quote.  He said, "There are only two days in the year that nothing can be done.  One is called yesterday and the other is called tomorrow, so today is the right day to love, believe, do and mostly live."

Sounds like one day at a time, Margaret. A lot believe that.
I agree, the past is gone and about the only thing worth while doing with it is to learn so we can do better today (and perhaps tomorrow).
I try to be a "Plan B" guy, trying to guide the _____ (ship ??) on a good path in the future. We planned a lot of 'tomorrows' at NASA.

Well, we can't change the past and the only way we can make a difference in the future is to do something every "today". Plan A or Plan B. :)

This message is strongly felt. You do encourage the reader to strive within the boundaries of each given day.

Gorgeous photograph, and that quote is not only true, but the kind that makes you reset your day, and perhaps your whole mindset. I like the final line here--very defining and strong.

Most days I feel as though I'm on a dead run trying to get all the hay in the barn before the storm, enjoying it and wishing I could make a reservation for more time.

The photo and poem go so well together. I also like the quotation that I did not know. It is true, we should not worry about tomorrow and only live for today, but sometimes it is not easy. I hope our tomorrows will be better though as the last today have not been very brilliant in the world.
