Chartreuse
Youthful yearning
is sun-kissed green,
an unripe dream
waiting to bloom,
enthusiastic whisper
of burgeoning chartreuse
sprouting
fragile inexperience.
A bouquet of reverie,
ornamental ribbon
innocence encouraged,
nourished, protected.

Today this is linked with dVerse "It's not Easy Being Green, or is it?" I DID make some edits however, deleted words and rearranged the stanzas. So perhaps it is new enough.
Happy St. Patrick's day!

as innocence should be...protected and nourished...smiles..there is a pent up energy in this as well like a seed...potential energy...a bouquet of reverie...i like that...
it's so important to protect their innocence and give them all the time they need to develop - i like the bouquet of reverie as well
Wonderful!
Youthful innocence is so refreshing. I wish we could protect our children from the harsh realities of the world.
Lovely - lovely photo and every parent's poem. Thanks. k.

Gorgeous, love that colour so bright, young and inspiring. Very nice!
This was lovely, Margaret. Interesting enough, chartreuse was always a color I despised. But after I read your poem I have changed my mind.
So playful and engaging. Loved this, sprouting
fragile inexperience.
Your poem has given me a yearning for a glass of Chartreuse to see if I can find the innocence you describe in it as I look out at the trees!
...li'l seeds should be nourished with time, trust, attention, & love... let it grow to its own huge forest of greenlove... excellent share... smiles...
Innocence encouraged, nourished and protected ... always !!!
