2013
New Year's innocence blossoms pink,
cradled in mornings golden light,
morning's tea inhaled, as beneath my fingers
frayed diary and bitter words unspool,
replaced with crisp, clean pages,
silvery slanted scrawl declaring 2013
a year of "Endless Rejuvenation".

This is for Imaginary Garden with Real Toad's "Get Listed" Thanks to Fireblossom, we were given a list of words and very "loosey goosey" rules (we all know she is a rule breaker :) I used eight words. This is really a challenge that I find quite hard... this short little ditty took me all day - lots of erasing and quite a few not-so-nice words. ;P

You are good with words – I like this little poem very much – it sings to my ears. It is perfect for the new year and I hope you also will have a perfect year.
An apt new year poem ... loved it !!!
Endless rejuvenation...love that!
Oh I love the way you have presented that moment of beginning a new diary in a brand new year. Your camellia blossom (?) is the perfect accompaniment.
My new year innocence blossomed rose- but close enough! Great fun. I tried to play with some of her words and it seemed forced so I let it go!
The key thing came from a combo of where I may have to go and would rather stay out of!
But, these words are very nice! I love the hopeful feel of this.
It reads so beautifully and effortlessly, one would never know you struggled. Beautiful, kiddo.......I love "bitter words unspool".........
I love the feel of a new notebook, new beginnings--and I can imagine it was probably a hard job to get that subject out of this particular word list. But you did it well. Beautiful flower, too--camelia?
i only managed ONE word! {smile}
