Soaring
Trail blazing
a mid-night sky,
I gallop
upon the Milky Way,
bow low
only to Sagittarius.
spiral over
ink black rifts,
gaze upon
Cassiopeia's beauty,
soar the star fields,
wild and free.

This is for Imaginary Garden with Real Toad's Sunday-Mini Challenge "dolls". I am hosting this week's Sunday Mini Challenge. The dolls are truly awesome and made by very talented high school visual art students. Each doll was originally portrayed in a sketch by the artist.

nicely done, margaret. beautiful artwork, too.
Another poem! I love this one galloping in the fields of stars! Thanks again for the neat prompt. (and for sending the photo to me)
We were on a similar wavelength with this one, Margaret. This was my favorite of the dolls.
I'll sit on my roof tonight.
Swing by and pick me up, k?
This is a ride i don't wanna miss!
I like the art and your words.
Yes, I love where you took your vision of this art!!! Such a great piece, Margaret!
LOVE the poem and the addition of her original sketch is perfect.
The first thought that sprang to mind as I looked at this doll ... the "Goatherd" song in Sound Of Music!!! Remember how they all danced around as Julie Andrews and the kids pulled their strings?
Beautiful piece, Margaret!
LOVE your poem and the doll!
♥
What talent these girls have and you have captured her doll in words fantastically. Love how you have it soaring through the stars...the old saying so true "the sky is the limit."
Thank you everyone! Walking this exhibition in person was FUN. The textures, the craftsmanship were so fun to see up close. Trying to match the students to their doll was fun too. :)
Wow ... this is unique !!!
I'm totally impressed by what these students are doing, Margaret!
Your description of the doll as a star horse works very well - there is something other-worldly about it.
So good, so very very good.
Aries would love this! I love it~
