The Declaration
A pink promise he placed
in the palm of her hand
declared,
"Beauty fades
but my love for you
never will".
"Eeyou!" she wailed
and crushed it
under her Sketchers.
Ten years later
she asked him to prom
placed pink lipstick
upon his cheek
implored,
"Please don't say eeyou."
The thought never crossed his mind.
