IGWRT's Fireblossom Friday #3, "Tamed Passion"

Tamed Passion

Passionately I prance
to my own rhythm
structure unacceptable.

A noble steed am I
breathing in untamed freedom,
all rules cast aside.

Intensity shines forth
from my poetic soul,
feet drumming
a mystical beat,

but I confess
I'll humble myself,
cast it all aside
for a tempting morsel
of apple, carrot, or grass.

This is for Imaginary Garden with Real Toad's "Fireblossom Friday #3.  The prompt is temptation and confession.  So, I bailed about writing about myself and asked Sebastian to give this challenge a whirl.

And what do you know, my lovely horse was able to complete next week's "Friday Flash 55" for me!

Sebastian! I am very flattered that you should participate in FBF! You are a very handsome fellow, as you no doubt know, and I now see that you are talented as well!

I love horses...and yes they can trade their nobility for a treat, their dignity for something sweet! So well done.

Sebastian has many hidden talents, apparently. I'm trying to think of a pun that involves 'don't look a gifted horse in the mouth. ;_) Enjoyed this Margaret.

I do like this perspective on the prompt - great idea to hear the words from the horse's mouth.

Just beautiful, Margaret. I love your pictures and your words. If I didn't love dogs so much, and if they were legal to have where I live, I could love horses just as much.

Congratulations, Sebastian, on your first submission to Imaginary Garden with Real Toads. Many horses tell me they're not very fond of toads, but you know the Real Toads are already fond of you.
And you wrote your poem in 55 words. You are a very special poet, no doubt about that.
Love,
K

I visited the barn today and told Sebastian his poem was well received... my other horse, Oberon, is a bit jealous... :)

A picture- and poem-perfect post. (That's 4-Ps, Sebastian, which is just like 5-goldstars.)
