"A Stroll Along the Path" 108, 109 & 110/365

Went for a walk with my 3 year old son.

We didn't get much exercise, but we did stop and explore.  A lot.
At every little puddle...

Which suits me just fine - I saw plenty of photo opps.  I got 5 of the 7 weekly photo
challenges I like to participate in done during this one walk!

I had no tripod with me and my camera has limited abilities.  There is "noise" here for
sure, but I love the reflection in the water drop.  This will be for the next
"Macro Monday" as I missed it this week.

I told my son to stay on the path so I could get a closer shot at the water's edge.  The
photo above is for "The Sunday Creative"- challenge word is "extension".
I love how these roots reach out and stretch along the shore.

Hmm.  I should have known.

It surprises me how quietly beautiful winter can be.  This photo will be for "Weekend Reflections".

He must have pitched stones into the water for 30 minutes. The above photo
will be for "Black & White Wednesdays".

Peek-a-boo!  The above photo is for "Partially Seen in January".

He promised me he wouldn't fall in.  "Ah pomise, mummy"

...he didn't "pomise" to not walk in, though.

Such marvelous photo's Margaret of the world you inhabit and your lovely son.

He seems an inspirational companion, but I can imagine the effort involved in keeping an eye out for your son, along with attending to your own photographer's eye.

You have done a fantastic job. I'm awed.

Oh, I love it!! Isn't it great when you can get all of them done in one afternoon?? I love the red berries. They are so beautiful.

These are indeed wonderful photos. I love them all.
Naturally, I do have one or two serious favourites but I don't want to spoil your fun.

Ah, OK then, I particularly like the tree with roots, the trees on the water's edge and the haws.

Oh, he's adorable. Love the giant leaf photo. We let our grandkids puddle jump and they thought we were the neatest grandparents. :)

the image of the tree and it's roots, with the lake in the background is lovely.

Beautifully captured photos! I love the bridge, I like the angle of the road in the second photo, and I adore the hidden behind the leaf picture. Nicely done.

Elisabeth Thank you - he is fun to walk with as he stops and looks at everything - gives me a chance to take photos.

James & Patty Ann - thank you. I would have loved a tripod taking photos of the berries, though.

Friko - I love the tree with roots as well - I want to go back and get a shot form that spot at all seasons - can't wait to see what it looks like in the fall.

Carol - I have another one of him with his face showing and the leaf - like peekaboo - but I hesitate to put that on on the internet. The grandparents loved it though. I let him lake jump that day... :)

Nance Marie - Thanks. It is one of those spots that just begs for a photo - the tree & the roots.

Septembermom - :) It will be fun to be a "contributing photographer" Thanks for asking.

Justine - He knows he can get by with a lot - he is my stinker. Glad you liked my "story". :)

Michelle - Thank you so much - it really thrills me that you liked so much! :)

Great photos! You do have an artistic eye. It would be hard to pick a favorite, but those berries stand out. Your little guy is darling.

All excellent photos! What a great adventure for your little guy, and I LOVE the leaf shot as well!

Carolyn - Taking photos of my 3 yr old is always fun - and I LOVE bare winter trees-- I never have really noticed them before. Maybe it is because we now live in warm NC and I am outside more. I have more photos of trees coming up this week... hope you like them.

Sylvia - Yes, reflections and partial shots are what I've been focusing on lately. Thank you.

Carol - I've never captured a reflection on a droplet before! I really will try to get more. Thanks about my "little" guy - he does make me see everything with a new light.

Karen - Thank you. It was a HUGE leaf. ;)

Very funny, the way you conclued your posting... What a lovely child : you are so blessed... And your pictures have such a soft touch : delicate in the colors... Nice way to catch reflections...

Wow, such a beautiful series - with some stunning reflection shots!

So glad you had your camera with you on this stroll to caputure the scenery, the details, and of course, you son being such a boy!

Tsuki - Thank you. I love the compliment "delicate colors". I do touch up my photos just a tad in Photoshop but am careful to not saturate the colors. I love vibrant colors, but I appreciate the natural colors in nature.

Serendipity - I have just started thinking about reflections AND shadows. I am on the search for more. Thanks for enjoying!

Allan - Yes, a boy - and he keeps moving and stopping and getting into mischief. I have some "brown" photos - of "winter" here in the southern states of the USA - and I'm surprised at the calm beauty - I will be posting them soon. Thank you for enjoying my blog.
