Amour

Illicit kisses
and passionate song
fill our nights

as we drown
in a seemingly endless
champagne ocean
of bubbles

senses intoxicated

until morning's light
spirits you away

leaving me gasping
for more.

      Yes, most likely a romantic. But I originally went dark and sad with this and then challenged myself and tried not to go with the obvious. Tried to dig deeper... :)

    A beautifully crafted poem, Margaret. It's everyone's fantasy dream.... to drown in love all night and be left gasping for more. It may well apply to art and poems too. Thanks for sharing.
