I also learned of the farthingale as I had not known that word before. I knew 'hoops' but for sure I didn't know they had a purpose other than to help create elegance.
I have been calling your Haiku the "American sentence Haiku," invented by Allen Ginsberg. Some others do also.
..
Jimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02982249173214655060noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3074509503476824621.post-21266874123635037862018-04-18T17:22:18.381-04:002018-04-18T17:22:18.381-04:00I love this extended metaphor, so well crafted. Up here in VA the daffodils and narcissus are all bloomed out, the flowers are no longer on the trees. A truly beautiful haibun. I think the end qualifies as an American sentence...but from first word to last, this evokes the changeability of the spring season. tonispencerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04200564195675794747noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3074509503476824621.post-61738233248838689542018-04-18T15:56:55.311-04:002018-04-18T15:56:55.311-04:00Once again nature is your muse and you bring wonde...Once again nature is your muse and you bring wonderful metaphor into play.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3074509503476824621.post-24213439391609977752018-04-18T15:40:01.227-04:002018-04-18T15:40:01.227-04:00Nice description of returning for the third encore...Nice description of returning for the third encore without applause.Frank Hubenyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18058591172624203875noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3074509503476824621.post-68000855140544860832018-04-18T14:33:48.300-04:002018-04-18T14:33:48.300-04:00I read this as being very very much about season.....I read this as being very very much about season... the fickleness of spring coming dancing, and then leaving again... love how you tied it together.brudberghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12563403553536472377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3074509503476824621.post-50262081886600753922018-04-18T12:39:22.264-04:002018-04-18T12:39:22.264-04:00Enjoyed it very much!Enjoyed it very much!Bekkie Sanchezhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16300001421561443693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3074509503476824621.post-81039181161011038472018-04-18T12:35:53.482-04:002018-04-18T12:35:53.482-04:00"Belle's of the ball rarely want an affai..."Belle's of the ball rarely want an affair to end, continue cavorting upon the dance floor desiring all eyes upon them"... oh yes 💜 but then again don't we all?☕Sanaa Rizvihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06681404650477409830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3074509503476824621.post-20354841802298064992018-04-18T11:41:51.884-04:002018-04-18T11:41:51.884-04:00Love the picture, it blends so well with the words...Love the picture, it blends so well with the words of your Haibun. I like these words "A grand exit is as important as an elegant entry" so true. Your Spring sounds like ours here in Nova Scotia, Canada. We are fearing that warmth and flowers may never arrive. :-)Elleceehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07049386448865741626noreply@blogger.com
