"A Woman's Touch"

A Woman's Touch

So much depends
upon paint color.

Spiced Butternut, Honey Bird,
Sundance...  Hmm, I know: Concord Ivory.

At the end of each day,
when you stroll toward home,

I'll frame myself
behind white lace curtains,

wave.  Kiss you just inside
our Raspberry Truffle door

lead you by the hand
to our back porch swing

hanging between Windham Cream pillars.
Ask you about your day.

At night, black shutters
will frame the Tiffany night light.

---

Now Dear, do you have any thoughts
as to paint color?

  1. This caused me to chuckle...so many will nod and smile...completely overjoyed to let the other choose just the right "colors." Painted beautifully, Margaret!

  3. I like how paintcolors can sound stupid.. but don't they really infuse our world with poetry?

  5. This was unexpected and fun. Those paint colours seem to flow so smoothly from the tongue.

  6. Very sweet! I find the color scheme welcoming. You've also captured the perfect mix of tenderness and exasperation that happens in long term relationships.
