Gimli - Poetry by Margaret Bednar

Gimli

Tenaciously vigilant
my woodland warrior

bids farewell
to blackberry winter

as spring's pungent scent
ripples winter's flags of gold,

spies crimson colored drama
at the birdhouse,

sniffs cadmium charm
amidst umber, buff, and ochre,

joyous
Mother Earth is rousing!

Margaret Bednar, March 10, 2013

(blackberry winter - a cold snap that happens in late spring (OK- this might be wishful thinking, but 65 degrees and sunny feels mighty nice today.)

  6. My dear Margaret...

The photo of your sweet companion stole my heart; and the garden scenes welcome the winter-weary reader. But the best part of this post is the color-filled post, which piqued my imagination and left me wandering your land.

  18. Beautiful photos, Margaret. Of course, I love the little dog face with the wild rose, and the beauties at the birdhouse. I was sinking into grumpiness, if not actual depression, and you made my day! Thanks!

  22. So nice and pretty, your pooch. He knows it is prudent to stop and smell the azaleas. Ours are not in bloom yet, they are late bloomers.
