Tenaciously vigilant
my woodland warrior
bids farewell
to blackberry winter
as spring's pungent scent
ripples winter's flags of gold,
spies crimson colored drama
at the birdhouse,
sniffs cadmium charm
amidst umber, buff, and ochre,
joyous
Mother Earth is rousing!
