The Mag #146, "Smitten"

"Object to be Destroyed" by Man Ray

Smitten

I appear
the consummate player,

never letting on
I'm counting

the seconds, minutes,
hours, since you left,

our tempo still sweet
upon my tongue.

I remain silent, as this
would render me pathetic.

  6. LOVE the December header!!

When that 'tempo' goes off beat, pathetic is usually the resulting emotion! (at least for me)

  8. a very succulent tempo it must be. while silence seems like a just route, I wonder if not speaking up is more pathetic.

you really transformed this image well.
