A
mystery
whispered
"freedom" is born,
as an oath takes flight
and Fathers' words become
law, the Eye of Horus, from his
capstone guards a secret, unblinking.

This is for "Magpie Tales #140". The controversy behind the meaning of this symbol is rather intriguing and all sides present an interesting perspective. I don't doubt there is significant meaning behind this image, I just am not sure we will ever know the truth.
best structure set-up ever!
ReplyDeleteI came across this symbol during Dan Brown's Angel and Demon ... really intriguing !!!
ReplyDeleteI love your triangular shaped poem that mimics the pyramid shaped icon. This reminded me of reading the text at the beginning of Star Wars episodes. Thank you for sharing, Margaret.
ReplyDeleteOh, this is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you made your own pyramid with words...very good words.
ReplyDeleteMy ears are opened completely when a secret speaks! Excellent!
ReplyDeleteNicely done. Love your shape poem.
ReplyDeleteI too have heard so many things about this, from the believable to the ridiculous. Kind of neat to wonder about it though!
ReplyDeleteA pyramid poem in every sense ... wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteI like your pointing out that the oath itself is a sentient being, capable of flight
ReplyDeleteVery well-shaped words. Nice!
ReplyDeleteI see we all love how you did this, Margaret! BRAVA!
