A Worthwhile Deception
My man frequents Lowe's,
devoted to "I can do it for less"
buying wrenches; God knows what else.
Directions seldom used, he
puzzles pieces together,
"Wonderful, honey!" my mantra
"Don't miss tee time" as I lovingly
hand him his clubs, appreciative...
of the handyman dialed quickly
"Y'know the drill...
you have four hours to fix it."

This is for Magpie Tales #109 . The photo prompt is the image above. I also linked this up with "Imaginary Garden with Real Toads - Open Link Monday".
This gave me a good chuckle. Thank goodness my husband is the handy type!
ReplyDeleteHe..he...My hubby can only fix some things; for major stuff, we have to call the handyman.
ReplyDeleteHappy day ~
Hahaha - love it! And can I get the number of your handman?
ReplyDeleteoh, you made me laugh! thanks!
ReplyDelete.. or you could take a page from my book and do it all by yourself!
ReplyDeleteCracked me up!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I am the one in this family that is more certain of handyman skills than is wise. On occasion I must humbly ask The Good Husband for corrective actions! *sigh*
Ahh, given four bours, but on the job 365 !
ReplyDeleteLove your take on this image. Makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff. It would surely delight Mr.Bill Bryson?
ReplyDeleteOh, the delights of DIY...
ReplyDeleteoh that is good... Funny!
ReplyDeleteOooh, this is wicked-good fun! Sounds like a well-rehearsed dance at your house. I enjoyed the lighter touch you gave this prompt. :)
ReplyDeleteOh yah- gotta have the latest- wrench, etc. and if we have a project
ReplyDeleteand he wants to tinker- I go riding!
The cry of many women; the handy man hubby....
ReplyDeleteThis made me smile. Great strategy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the smiles...loved this...Lowes knows...
ReplyDeleteReminds me of Tool Time...great fun.
ReplyDeleteAs a man I am good with that...as long as the handyman isn't too handsome....I'd hate to have to beat him with my new wrenches....lol.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this Margaret!
ReplyDeleteVery clever, lady!
ReplyDeleteMargaret Bednar...
