He Kissed Me
He kissed me
and I forgot
we were different
as night and day.
He wasn't "safe",
wasn't "perfect".
His future?
An enthusiastic dream.
I could have gone on and on
about his faults,
but those baby blues
left me speechless
and then
he kissed me.
Well, perfect and safe
never made me feel
like that.
