"Barnyard Boss" by Caroline Kelly

This is painted by Caroline Kelly of Log Cabin Studio.  Click to be transported to her blog.  Truly beautiful work and I am honored that one of my photographs inspired this dandy rooster!

Really, I LOVE when people use my photos to paint from.  Please just ask.  Not only will I showcase you here, but I will add you to my "Inspired Paintings from my Photos" blog that will always be displayed on my sidebar.

Now, run along and check out Log Cabin Studio.

  4. Hi Margaret,
Caroline is my very modest sister and I am delighted to agree with you...your rooster was a great inspiration for her and love how he looks in her painting. You have a very generous heart to encourage artists to paint from your wonderful photos. I would like very much to post your post on my blog tomorrow linking back to you? Would that be ok with you..playing it forward..how good is that?
You have a lovely and very creative blog and I will like to add myself as a follower.

  7. I think I know a chicken rather like that!! He is going to be dinner this weekend!! We ended up with four roosters and they are way too noisy!! Love his beauty though and I love the fact that someone did it based on one of your pictures. That is a great compliment.

  9. It is a grand painting - and as I saw when I checked out your "inspired paintings ..." blog, it was based on a smashing photograph that seemed to capture all the grandeur of the bird itself.
